Second Passport, Second Citizenship, Diplomatic Passport and General Consul Programs

Second Passport and Second Citizenship Programs – Our affiliate Guatemala Law Firm offers several Second Citizenship and Passport programs. The countries are in the Central and South America Region. None of the programs involve any Caribbean countries. These are lifetime citizenships. The Passports are renewable for life. Passports are five-year passports. All the countries we deal in offer visa free travel to the European Union, Central America, South America, and some countries in Asia and Africa. The passport does not give you working privileges in any country other than the country that issued the passport.

You can generally travel visa free and stay up to 90 days. You can live in the passport issuing country for an unlimited amount of time. Nothing we offer has visa free travel to the USA. If your intent is to travel to the USA with or without a visa we do not have any passport program for you. The passports have between 60 and 90 countries that you can travel to visa free, depending on the country. The program comes with a Cedulla (National Identity Card), a Drivers License (if you are currently a driver) and a Passport. There is no need to renounce any existing citizenships. The passports and other identity documents are suitable for travel and banking, not just banking. The documents are 100% authentic and will pass any computer check anywhere in the world. They are digitized passports with bar codes for swiping. They do not have any RFID chips.

Name Changes – A name change is possible. These can be done with the records sealed so there is no trail to your original name or public records mention of the name change. This is very useful for banking. The identity documents are still yours – your photo, your signature, and your fingerprints but then again a different name and country. The name change fee is $5000. You can bank anywhere in the world under your new identity. Guatemala does not tax offshore-derived income. You can avoid many of the hassles that people from many countries go through regarding banking offshore.

Diplomatic Passport & Consul General Posting – Diplomatic passports are available. Consular postings can also be available. A consular posting means you are posted as a Consul General to a specific country. Your home may be used as a Consulate a few hours a week, which means your home, would become part of the country issuing the Consulate posting thus having a special type of diplomatic immunity in addition to your own personal diplomatic immunity. You could of course buy/rent a separate building for the Consulate. Generally special license plates for your vehicle are obtained as well. There would also be special no parking zones in front of the Consulate and special police patrols or even police posted outside the Consulate. The Consulate could also own a plane, helicopter or boat with special diplomatic treatment (immunity) as part of the Consulate. Immediate family member diplomatic immunity could also be arranged if you are posted as a Consul General or Deputy Consul General. These postings require a thorough background investigation and references. They are never done without a personal visit, probably two to three visits over four to six weeks. Such passports and postings are quite expensive (nicely into the six digit range or higher).

Countries - First of all we do not list the countries we deal with on the web site. You can contact us by voice using a phone, yahoo, skype and we can discuss the options. You can use zfone with yahoo for encryption.

Can a Person From Any Country be Accepted – No! Generally people from North America, South America, EU, former USSR states, South Africa, Australia, New Zealand, and Asia can be placed into a program that will accept them.

Second Citizenship and Passport Processing – The way to proceed if you wish to acquire a second citizenship is to come to Guatemala. We can arrange a driver who speaks English to meet your flight. We can arrange a corporate discount at a five star hotel in downtown Guatemala City (approx $150 a night per room). Please do not drop in on us unexpected. People do this only to find out everyone is in meetings and have previous commitments and they have to wait a day or two to be seen. So no surprise visits, please.

We have large prestigious offices in Guatemala City with numerous lawyers and support staff. You need to bring three reference letters from businesses or personal references. You need to bring your passport and driver license (not an international driver license). If you do not have a driver license bring a government issued identity card. You need two government issued identity documents with photo, one of which has to be a passport.

If you wish to proceed after meeting us we will begin the process immediately. If you do not wish to proceed we will shake hands and bid you a good journey home. If you cannot get a tourist visa to come to Guatemala we can help. This will be an added expense, generally not very expensive.

Criminal Records Check – There will be a records check with Interpol done by the government of the country issuing you the documents. You do not need to bring any police reports; this will be done for you by the country. If there are any wants or holds in the Interpol system on you, your application will be denied and we will not be able to process you. If you have a past criminal record this may or may not prevent you from being approved. Inquire of us with the specific offense and amount of time served in prison if any time was served. Violent offenses could be a problem. Offenses involving minor children are a problem. Political or religious persecution will be considered most favorably and we do understand the way these things work. Many other offenses will not be an issue at all. Inquire.

Fees – The fees for the programs run $50,000 to $55,000. There are no payment plans. We do not do escrows. The time frames for the program is 14 days or less so there is no time for escrows. The fees are due and payable before we begin. We can accept 50% of the fee at the time of starting the program and the balance paid at the end but before you receive the final document which is the passport. We do not accept checks, money orders, bank checks or credit cards. Most clients pay by wire transfer. There is no further investment required. No houses to buy at inflated prices. No money need be invested in any government program at reduced rates of return. No other investment is required. This is the total price. The citizenship is for life. The passport is renewable at any embassy of the issuing country as well as inside the country, for the rest of your life. You can reside in the issuing country for the rest of your life or come and go freely as a citizen. You would be able to own businesses, work for others, hire people, own real estate, buy insurance etc.

Guarantee – If we accept you as a client we guarantee that you will receive the citizenship and passport. If you do not get the citizenship and passport we will issue you a full refund. We will put this in writing. If your Interpol report has wants or holds on you we may not accept you and this Interpol report will be done before payment. Politically inspired Interpol reports will be looked at in sympathetic light. The same would apply to religious persecution or other form of civil right violation. Feel free to email us scans of your passport and driver license and we can run an Interpol check.

Time Frame – You need to stay in Guatemala and travel to the country we are working with. A total of 14 days or less as an approximation is all that is required to complete all. There will be a little time for tourism and side trips. If we can get it done faster which is often the case, we will do so. You will always have a representative of the law firm with you. You will never ever be in anything resembling an unsafe area. You will be with a law firm representative when going to any and all official government buildings. When leaving at completion you will have your Cedulla (National Identity Card), Drivers License and Passport.

Q - Can I apply without coming to the law offices in Guatemala?
A – No.

Q - Is there a discount for family members?
A - No. We are sorry the price is the same for each family member. We know this is an additional investment in new citizenships for your family and we are sorry but we have no ability to offer family plan rates.

Q – Is dual citizenship possible?
A – Yes. No restrictions. Some people have seven lawful citizenships and passports.

Q – Will my home country know I have second citizenship and passport?
A – No one will notify them.

Q - Are these documents legitimate?
A - Yes. They are checked carefully to make sure they are correctly entered into all the computer databases. They are issued from government offices. You go to government offices to be fingerprinted, photographed and sign documents. These are authentic documents entered into all the government computer databases.

Q - Am I going to have to marry a national of the country to receive the citizenship and passport?
A - No. Of course not. These are scam programs and then you get into bigamy laws as well.

Q – Am I going to have to be adopted by a person in the country?
A – No. That is a scam program. Imagine a 45 year old being adopted, come on.

Q - Am I going to receive documents in another person’s name?
A - No. These are more scams where a poor person or a dead person is used for the documents. The documents you get in our programs will be in your name or the name change you selected. It will be your picture, your fingerprint and your signature.

Q - Are these stolen or faulty passport blanks?
A - No. The documents are issued directly to you in from government buildings. Stolen or faulty passport blanks are sent by post and are worthless since they are not in any computer database. These people never tell you to come visit them at their law offices to apply in government offices like we do. You rarely ever know where their offices are or if they ever have offices and they are not lawyers like we are.

Q - Can you accept clients from every country?
A – No. There are some countries we cannot take applicants from. Feel free to ask us. We can work with: North America, Central America, South America, Asia, EU, former USSR Countries, South Africa, Australia, and New Zealand.

Panama Passport – Panama does not have a Passport program any longer. The Passport program was eliminated with the passage of the new immigration law effective 8/26/08. There is no Panama Passport program. Panama only offers residency. After holding a Panama Permanent residency for five years one can apply for citizenship. Note that the law says you can apply only, it does not say it is automatic. In the last five years 12 such applications were approved, that is a little over 2 people a year were granted citizenships this way. This is not significant enough for us to offer Panama as having a realistic path to citizenship.
