Panama New Immigration Law Update: 02/27/08Second Passport Scams and FraudCanada Document CertificationPanama Resident Multiple Entry Visas – Update 06/08Introduction – Panama provides a multiple entry visa to foreigners that are residents. This enables one traveling internationally on a non–Panamanian passport to come and go easily and quickly through immigration controls. It even allows you to use the citizen lines at the airport, which are much shorter than the tourist lines. The Multiple entry visa is a full-page stamp in your passport that is good for two years. With this stamp one does not have to buy the $5.00 tourist card.
Expired Multi-Entry Visas – We always suggest the clients stay current on their multi-entry visas. Now we are hearing changes regarding what happens if you forget to stay current and enter the country. You will be fined $100 by the immigration authorities. If you do not have the $100 (cash) then they confiscate your passport and then you are required to go to immigration to retrieve it and pay the $100 fine and also must get the multiple entry visa stamp as well.
