Why not set up your Asset Protection Structure and open your Panama Bank Account while on a Panama Cruise?
Introduction – You can set up your corporation, foundation, Panama bank account and Panama stock brokerage account all in one day while your cruise boat is docked in Panama. Please note you need to be on a cruise that stops in Panama and lets people off the boat for several hours, not on a cruise that does not stop but just traverses through the canal. Many cruises stop and then also traverse through the Panama Canal halfway or completely.
How It Gets Done during the Cruise Ship Stop – First we need to get a corporation and/or foundation set up for you to bank with. You can wire us the funds before you get here and we can set this up and have it waiting for you when you get here. Another way is you can buy an off the shelf corporation and/or foundation when here. If you buy them off the shelf the fee is $200 higher for each structure and you do not get to choose the name from scratch. Once we have the corporation and/or foundation we can go to the bank and complete the account opening procedure in about 90 minutes, plan on about 2-3 hours with us and the bank in total. For a Panama Stock Brokerage Account add in another 90 minutes. We have a driver meet you at the pier where the cruise ship is stopping. This would be in Amador or Colon. Amador is 25 minutes from the office and Colon is about 45 minutes from the office. We get you into the office bright and early. We do our paperwork and then walk over to the bank since our offices are in the banking district. You meet the bank complete with a nice 30 story building with their name on it, fill out the forms and then you are free to leave which means see the sites of Panama. It is suggested that you retain the driver that met you at the pier for a custom tour of Panama. Leave about two hours to watch the ships traverse the Panama Canal. Enjoy some really inexpensive shopping where the tourists do not go. Get some traditional Panama food in a restaurant overlooking Panama Bay. See the sights the tourists normally are not aware of then get back to your cruise ship well in advance of its departure with some wonderful tales of Panama to share with your tablemates at dinner. Do bring a camera. Driver cost will be $100 to $125 for a full day.
What You Need to Bring – We need you to have your passport and drivers license with you. We need a business reference letter on a letterhead from any business that has done business with you. It merely needs to say they have done business with you and are providing a positive reference. It can be from a lawyer, accountant, realtor, insurance broker, dentist, doctor, gardener, auto repair shop – anyone who knows you and has done business with you. We also need a bank reference letter. This would need to say that you have an account at the bank for so long and that the account is current or open. It can be made out to our law firm, or to whom it may concern. We need these letters for each person signing on the bank account. That is all there is to it. The minimum deposit with the bank is $1000. The stockbrokers require $15,000 to open an account. You can send us scans or faxes of the reference letters before coming to make sure all is in order.
How to Proceed – Contact us by email, skype, or phone so we can begin a relationship and set things in motion. Generally cruises that go to Panama depart the USA on a Saturday or Monday and do not arrive in Panama on weekends. One could encounter a banking holiday so do check with us and we’ll make sure you can show your cruise ship tablemates your new Panama Corporation at dinner that night. Bon Voyage and happy Asset Protection.
