Introduction – Right now Occupy Wall Street is our biggest chance for correcting the nation's ills. The Occupation movement is fundamentally non-partisan and its brilliance lies in its rejection of the traditional, divisive lines in politics and economics. Occupy Wall Street (and its sister movements) are not leftist or rightists, though other factions have tried to make it seem so. The people have decided to stand together and refuse to divide themselves into groups which the bankers and their cronies in government can hijack and render ineffective.
Organization – A key factor in the movement is its decentralization. You'll notice that there's no group calling the shots and no leaders. This is because it's finally been recognized that the political party model of politics has failed. To organize yourselves on these lines requires massive funding, the development of a hierarchy, and other such things that open you up to corruption and set you on the path to failure. You cannot win by modeling yourselves after the elite. You CAN win by being a fluid and faceless movement (as in the film V for Vendetta) with no center to strike at.
As a consequence of this organization and its solidarity, the movement does not have an official list of demands. It refuses to be pigeonholed because, again, this movement is non-partisan, and is a collective outburst of anger and discontent against the 1% of the nation that has ruined the economy, which is why they refer to themselves as the 99%. Where many criticize it as being disorganized, it's actually far more organized than people imagine. The nation's youth sees this as a movement that they can stand behind, not a movement that will just propel more scheming politicians into the ranks of the elite.
5 Ways the 1% Will Try to Infiltrate and Destroy the 99% Movement:
Intentions – For now, the main intention of the movement is to force accountability of the richest 1% of the United States population, starting with the banks. There are many smaller goals that individual groups want to accomplish such as eliminating the Federal Reserve and lowering tax rates on the lower income brackets, but the biggest worry of all is accountability. Everybody has chosen to unite, in spite of their varying beliefs on other issues, to force this change. Furthermore, the 99% has finally realized that individual concessions will not end the problem. Things are rotten in Denmark and no individual change will correct it.
The protests will continue until either a number of banks fail, a run on the banks is successful, or a number of other serious changes take place. One victory is all it will take. Once the people realize that they have effected a change, in the way that popular elections cannot, then the movement will spread like wildfire and hopefully the current system will give way to significant changes. This is the goal, and I believe there's a darn good chance at success.

Anonymous – There is a related group out there called Anonymous. Anonymous promises to put force behind the protestors by shutting down the exchanges and police networks when the time is right. This means, when the movement has reached its climax, there will be a swift and decisive move toward systemic collapse.
There are many false videos out there posing as this person/group (originating on the online network 4chan.org, to my knowledge). There have been disinformation agents putting up false videos and claims by this group giving fictitious deadlines that inevitably are not fulfilled. In reality, Anonymous has never released a time frame and does possess the ability to strike but their timing must be strategic. In combination with the 99% movement, this may be decisive.
One example of a fake, but inspirational video:
The Question of Violence – We already know that the police have assaulted and arrested many protestors. It's possible that police resistance to this movement will grow stronger and stronger culminating in the use of tear gas, and other such measures. It's my opinion that the people will retaliate against the police with their own violent measures if this does occur.
However, I think that the government will be reluctant to do this because the people are too spread out and decentralized. A centralized power cannot win against a decentralized resistance network, which can strike anywhere at any time. I can only hope that the police will begin to realize what they're really fighting for if this happens, but a steady paycheck can outweigh ideological issues. In the end, the United States is a dying power and does not stand much chance at all of prevailing if the 99% turns on them.
Conclusions – Because of Occupy Wall Street's decentralization, and thus, resistance to corruption, they stand a solid chance at their goals. The people are far smarter and have learned their lessons from past organizational failures, and hopefully will prevail in the very near future.
