So far the movement does not look like it is dying off. The movement continues to draw thousands who never have been political activists before, now that they have personally been touched by the collapsing economy. The arrests continue and will likely grow even more violent as the movement spreads (and along with it, the fear.)
Wall Street – The owners of Zuccotti Park where the protest is headquartered have claimed that on Friday morning the protestors must clear out so that they can clean the area. Protestors have responded by initiating their own clean up movement. It is likely that more violence will take place against the 99% when they refuse to leave.
San Francisco – The Wells Fargo headquarters was shut down by out favorite freedom fighters. The bank was forced to close on Wednesday, October 12th.
Seattle – Police sprung on the protestors at 10pm, right after the park closing hours. The two protestors taken into custody were charged with criminal trespassing, but protestors have resolved to stay. Students at Seattle Central Community College have also staged a walk-out to protest the arrests and show their discontent with the student loan nightmare. The second event is a wonderful precedent. If students reject the university debt racket, the colleges will have no choice but to stop throwing their students into ruinous debt before they are legal to drink.
Boston – 141 protestors, out of thousands, were arrested deep in the night. The protestors were peaceful and based on public property. See the elderly Veterans being thrown to the ground:
Atlanta – Atlanta's mayor has issued a statement saying that protestors will only be allowed to remain for 5 days, but protestors have resolved to stay. Violence will likely ensue.
Dallas – A group of protestors aggregated outside of the Federal Reserve, while the main bulk of residents went to City Hall. Smaller protests also took place around various banks in the city.
Orlando – Orlando area residents plan their own run on Bank of America by collectively withdrawing their money on October 15th. So far this is not a large movement, but I would encourage all account holders to do the same.
October 15th – A new wave of protests is set to begin this Saturday. Cities all over the world will be participating. We would like to give a special shout out to the protests in Panama City, Panama. Banks in Panama have given over information to the IRS, and for this violation of trust and privacy, they should be shut down. Wherever you are, please do your part and take your cities back.
