Mexico now has daily assassinations and kidnappings of officials in government especially police agencies. The drug cartels are battling the army and police using fully automatic weapons, and even rocket propelled grenades. It is rumored they have stinger missiles and other sophisticated weapons. The drug cartels have hundreds of thousands on members some of which were trained in elite military units in various countries. They are not just street gangs. Their leaders are over 50 years old and are career gangsters who are ruthless. No one really knows the degree of sophistication of the weaponry these cartels have now. If they take control of the government they will have fighter jets, bombers, helicopters, tanks, naval vessels etc.
It will be a new day for the cartels. The number killed in these drug cartel fights is projected conservatively at over 8,000 for 2009, I would say twice that could be the death toll if it continues to escalate progressively. There is a big worry that the Mexico violence will spread deep into the USA if Mexico collapses. The U.S. Joint Forces Command said that Mexico and Pakistan are the two most likely countries to collapse. Hundreds of thousands of Mexicans could head up north if the violence escalates. Texas has prepared contingency plans to deal with a mass exodus of Mexicans into the USA. Obama has included $600 million to shore up the border. Not a lot I might add. Seems they spend that much in a day in the Middle East so what do they care about more.
What if Mexico Collapses – Well it probably will be the drug cartels controlling the formal government ruling with terror. The drug cartels will have the police and government working for them thus controlling the country. This can be bad for the people. The cartels will use the government resources of Mexico to sell and distribute drugs into the USA and other countries. Mexico will fall apart economically since the leaders will not care about much else other than drug sales and distribution. The cartels will crank out trillions of dollars in profits and probably can care less if Mexico gets left in shambles. The cartels will expand rapidly into piracy at sea, kidnapping on a wholesale level, counterfeiting various currencies around the world, and eventually take over other countries the same way. The way they survive is to make an end run to accumulate trillions and take over several nations and then become a major power. Legalize drugs and you let the air out of their balloon.
What Does the USA Do – Well with a 2000-mile border the prospects are dismal. Obama still playing world policeman has no resources to shore up the border plus he is broke. The Mexicans use boats, planes, tunnels, cars and land crossings on foot. They will soon use military grade weapons to destroy drug interdiction teams on USA soil. A bunch of homeland security agents in jeeps cannot hold up against rocket-propelled grenades. They would need to deploy at least 25,000 troops on the borders, 100,000 would be more like it. This is a 2000-mile land border but do not forget the coast. America would need to remove some of their troops from their Middle East wars, which is not something they will be quick to do. If they do not do much then the Mexican crime wave will spill hundreds of miles inside the USA. Home invasions, kidnappings, robberies, bank robberies, jewelry store robberies, car thefts, retail store robberies, rapes, murders, and lets not forget piracy at sea. The people near the border will have to behave as if civil disobedience was upon them. Imagine people in the USA wearing pistols openly and carrying shotguns when going shopping. Armed guards at the schools. Twelve-foot brick walls with electrified razor ribbon replace normal fences. Bullet resistant car sales soar for those that can afford them. Security guard business flourishes. Guns sales go through the roof. Vigilante groups form here and there and bushwhack invading Mexicans and in other ways seek revenge. Law enforcement gets scared of firefights with the gangs and stop enforcing the law when the gangs are involved. Calls for help from law enforcement get answered an hour or two later when it is all over. There will be gunfights and chases where the police lose and the gangs make good their escape leaving police and bystanders dead and wounded. It will be just like in Mexico. The gangs will go to government officials including police and kidnap them, murder them and their families in the process of corrupting them to join the gangs. Some officials will gladly submit, others will not and many of them will die horrific deaths with heads cut off, torture and so forth. As the gangs grow they will buy more government officials and take over local and state governments thus prospering even more. It is quite scary. Obama is a poor choice for dealing with this sort of a mess. If the USA government doesn’t stop with the world policeman unfulfilled dream their country will soon be in shambles. Can anyone say legalize drugs, now. I doubt the USA is smart enough to legalize drugs, they hate to admit they were wrong and admit failure at any price even the lives of their own people.
USA Facing Civil Unrest – Let’s see who recently said the USA is at great risk of civil unrest (riots, widespread criminality, breakdown of civil order).
US Army War College in November 2008 warned that there could be a violent strategic dislocation inside the USA. They warn about an economic collapse as well. They further suggest that the USA would need to redeploy some of their overseas military assets domestically to deal with the problem. They are talking about fighting some sort of war on American soil. Scary. Forget any civil rights with this scenario.
Director of National Intelligence (USA) – Dennis Blair warned that the economic crisis could result in regime threatening instability in the USA and other countries.
Thanks to finkelblog.com
for the video.
Zbigniew Brzezinski – The former national security director (USA) warned of riots and a growing class conflict as a result of the economic crisis.
Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff – He warned that the financial crisis is a threat that could result in instability.
Others warning in a similar fashion include:
The head of the World Trade Organization, The head of the International Monetary Fund, Senator Christopher Dodd (USA), economist Nouriel Roubini, economist John Williams, and trend researcher Gerald Calente.
The warnings are generally based just on the economic crisis. When you combine it with the collapse or takeover of Mexico it get exponentially worse for the USA.
Want to get out before it is too late, we can help.
