Executive Summary – In an effort to get the people to stop using the USD Mexico has implemented currency controls on USD's. The national currency is the Peso. Individuals can only take out or deposit into their bank accounts in Mexico a maximum of $400 per day. Some commercial businesses would be exempt from this. People can deposit or take out an unlimited amount of Yen, Euros or Pesos. Looks like Mexico is afraid of getting stuck with too many USD's when the egg hits the fan. You are probably wondering how the rug cartels are dealing with this. Us too. We guess they are using front businesses that take a lot of cash in like a fast food chain.
