Executive Summary – Here we go again. The TSA is now swabbing hands of people looking for explosive traces. More idiotic humiliation of people destroying their sense of worth as a citizen and being a law-abiding citizen all in the name of anti-terrorism. One problem is certain medications will trigger a false positive, probably nitroglycerine heart medicine. People who have handled firearms and reloading ammunition equipment before going to the airport will give positive results. Thus another harassment to the gun owner. A person arrives at the airport parking lot. He takes his gun out of the holster and puts it in the glove box. Say his gun was not cleaned well from the last time he went to the range. Whoops now he is a terrorist suspect. Do you think a real terrorist would not scrub his hands clean if he had handled explosives before going to the airport?
Implications – USA citizens suffer a lot of death, harm and rapes at the hands of criminals away from airports. The chances of them being killed by terrorists is miniscule. Why aren’t these resources being used to protect citizens in their homes and on the streets? Seems like the government doesn’t care about the people. If terrorists were really to strike why does everyone think they would hit an airport or airplane? What about hospitals, schools, malls etc. They are just conditioning people to get used to the police state and controlling travel.
